Swing & cabaret singer Steve Devereaux has showbiz in his blood!

His father was Ed Devereaux the actor; his mother was Rene Devereaux the producer, composer and agent.

Aged nine, Steve and the whole family moved to Australia, where Ed became internationally famous for his role as Matt Hammond in the iconic Australian TV series “Skippy the Bush Kangaroo”.

Several years later they returned to London where Steve embarked on his own musical career, making his West End debut in the original production of Grease. Subsequent roles in London included, Judas in “Jesus Christ Superstar”, Pharaoh in “Joseph”, Frank the Lover in “Tommy” and “Frank ‘n Furter” in The Rocky Horror Show.

Other West End career highlights would include “Wild, Wild Women”, “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers”, “Guys and Dolls”, “The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber”, “Sunset Boulevard”, “My Fair Lady” and “Scar in The Lion King”.

Throughout this period, Steve became internationally regognised as a “must see” cabaret and concert singer, topping the bill at London’s Latin Quarter, as well as high end cabaret and concert venues throughout the UK and Europe.

More recently, Steve was seen on “The Voice UK”, where Paloma Faith “turned” almost immediately in the blind auditions, and subsequently went on to befriend and mentor Steve throughout the competition.

Constantly in demand, Steve has the sophisticated panache of a true showman. His repertoire is vast, and this combined with a charming personality ensure that he is the ideal entertainment choice for corporate events, weddings and private functions.
